162-164 East Innis Avenue, circa 1996

The cigar tree was planted by my mom, and the black locust in back (not visible in this shot, for some reason) was planted by my aunt. It hurts to know they’re gone, along with the house, but it’s good to know that the new tenants are making their own memories there.

The house on the right was owned by Vatie Fuller, who had her yard planted with the prettiest roses on the street, even outshining my own grandmother’s.
